New Orleans 2
Today I have learned that every school bus and driver in the state has been put on a roster for rotation to drive the refugees from the Superdome to wherever they may end up.
Here in Shreveport gas stations are already running out of gas.
There is low water pressure from the overload on the water supply and sewage pumps.
The grocery stores can’t even keep up with the demands.
I live in a nice neighborhood and right down the road from me is the university LSUS.
LSUS has been set up as a shelter and more people just keep showing up.
These people are desperate, and desperation causes people to do things that they would not normally do. Crime here has increased more than you can imagine.
I was volunteering at the shelter, but now I’m concerned for my safety to walk from the parking lot to the shelter.
I don’t think that I have ever begged for money or donations from anyone, but at this moment, I am humbled.
If you can, please help, in any way. Everything is appreciated.
Half a million people are now homeless.
